No, we do not hold a deposit from our customers while they have the rental car.

  • Only for the Audi A3 cc deluxe, we will hold 500 Euro as a guarantee deposit.

The driver´s original and valid driving license ( applies to additional drivers as well). Check fow law and regulations, in case you need an International driving License to drive in Greece.

Renter must be 20 years of age to rent a small or medium sized car.

To rent our larger SUV or Luxury cars, the renter must be 26 years of age.

You can pay for your rental vehicle with your credit or debit card online. (Visa,Mastercard,Maestro).

You can also pay via Paypal online.

The best option is to pay in cash on arrival. In this case, your credit/debit card details will be required as a guarranty, in case of no-show.

Yes. All our Customers enjoy the Super Full Insurance Package, in which the deductible/self Risk is 0 Euro.

If the vehicle you selected during the reservation is unavailable during pick up we will supply you with a similar model. We always guarantee the same, or higher, category. We however do not guarentee the brand and model.

Can I change the booking after I have received a confirmation?2019-01-17T13:41:31+03:00

If you need to change/modify or cancel your booking after you have received a confirmation you can simply send an e-mail to  [email protected], and we will help you arrange it.

Can the booking be changed/modified after I have picked up the car?2019-01-17T13:42:57+03:00

If you need to change/modify the booking after you have received the car you need to contact us via e-mail or call us in +302897022232.

Extensions are based on the availability each time. If the car is available the extra charge is subject to the duration of the extension.

Early returnings are always allowed. However no refunds can be given for unused, or partly used, car hire vouchers unless the amendments or cancellations have been made prior to the pick-up date.

Unfortunately no refunds can be given for unused, or partly used, car hire vouchers unless the amendments or cancellations have been made prior to the pick-up date.

In case of a cancellation, this is our policy;

  • Cancel more than 24 Hours prior to the rental and get a full refund (100%)
  • In case of a no-show or last day cancellation we charge 100% of the rental amount

Yes, we offer 24/7 emergency breakdown assistance which means you can call our emergency line every day, 24 hours a day. The number is +30 2897022232.

Autotravel has service partners all around the island if something breaks down or if something has to be replaced. If you have an accident or if the car breaks down we will of course replace the car with a new one as soon as possible.

Keep in mind that if an assistance is required because of a breakdown or damage that is the driver´s responsibility, the Car might not be replaced.

I booked a Car in Heraklion International Airport, how do I collect my car?2019-01-17T13:58:20+03:00

Once you collected your luggage and exited the Airport building, a representative of Autotravel will be personally be waiting for you, holding a sign with our Company logo. You will walk together to our private Parking area where you will arrange the contract and collect your Car. The entire process once you exited the building should take less than 15 minutes. It might take a bit longer if other customers are in the same flight as you are. We do our best, so that you start your Cretan experience as quickly as possible.

I booked a Car in Chania International Airport, how do I collect my Car?2019-01-17T14:02:45+03:00

Once you collected your luggage and exited the Airport building, a representative of Autotravel will be personally be waiting for you, holding a sign with our Company logo. The driver and the representative will take a shuttle bus to the Parking area (3 minutes) where you will arrange the contract and collect your Car. The entire process once you exited the building should take less than 20 minutes. It might take a bit longer if other customers are in the same flight as you are. We do our best, so that you start your Cretan experience as quickly as possible.

I booked a Hotel pick up, how do I collect my Car?2019-01-17T14:09:42+03:00

A representative of AutoTravel will meet you at the Reception of your Hotel in the arranged Time and deliver you the Car directly there. We try to be there exactly on Time, but there can be sometimes a delay depending on unexpected traffic or road conditions.

Sometimes for schedule convenience, we might contact you to deliver the car earlier. This of course will happen only if both sides agree, and for no extra charge!

Where and how do I return the Car?2019-01-17T14:45:06+03:00

In both Airports, we have a Parking with a Key Box. So the return process is extremily easy. You just park the Car in our Parking area and drop the key inside the key box. This means that a 24 hour return is possible.

If you are returning your car in your hotel, you just give the keys to the receptionist, and we collect it from there. No need to meet at specific time.

 

EXTRAS AND EQUIPMENT

Should I rent a WiFi ?2019-01-17T13:27:50+03:00

If you are a customer of a communication provider located in the European Union, the No you shoudnt rent a WIFI, because there are no roaming charges.

If you are coming from outside the EU, then renting a WIFI cound be very helpful if you want to use your mobile phone as a GPS or if you want to share your experiences in Social media.

How many pieces of luggage can I fit in my rental car?2020-01-14T12:36:32+03:00

It really depends on the car you are renting. The golden rule is that if you are renting the smallest option you can fit 1-2 medium sized luggage, medium sized options carry 2-3 luggage and the larger options carry 4-5 luggage. This of course also depends on the size and shape of the luggage.

Keep in mind that when you rent a 7 seated vehicle and you have 7 passangers the luggage space is a lot lesser so you only fit around 2-3 medium sized luggages depending on the size of the rental car.

Our 9 seated options however fit 8 luggages – no matter how many passangers!

Do I need a Child Seat for my Children ?2019-01-17T13:34:52+03:00

The general safety rule, is that the cars seat belt shouldt be in the height of your childs neck. So if you use one at home, the best option would be to book one for your rental as well.

Please keep in mind that a child seat must be booked before arrival.

Are the cars equipped USB / AUX / Bluetooth?2020-01-14T12:41:05+03:00

Most of them are equipped with USB and AUX ports as well as Bluetooth system. But this cant be guaranteed.
